I did some more advertising on Twitter and Facebook (yes, I am back on that again) for the LinkedIn group Competence Studies. Surprise: I’m very honoured the group quickly grew over 30 members.
I guess there is sufficient interest in the field of Competence Studies to proceed with it. That should not be a surprise, actually, since many professionals who are working with competence systems are struggling with it. So, let’s see if we can help colleagues with this network. For now, I am happy with the diversity of the group, ranging from world-leading scholars to leading (inter)national and institutional professionals, and graduate students, both from the world of education and the world of training. Great.
